IDMC manufactures semi-welded plate heat exchangers for use as condenser and evaporator (chiller). The semi-welded plate heat exchangers comprise cassettes assembled together between pressure plates. Each cassette is formed by a pair of plate, laser welded together. The refrigerant flows into the welded channels and the medium flows in the gasketed channels.

Plate Heat Exchanger as Condenser

The plate heat exchangers are extensively used as condensers in refrigeration plants along with a cooling tower. These condensers are available in capacity from 50 to 500 TR. These can be assembled, disassembled and cleaned at location. The condenser can be easily expanded using additional cassettes or another installed in parallel to increase plant capacity.

Plate type Heat Exchanger as Evaporators

The plate type evaporators are extensively used in refrigeration industry for water, glycol or other media cooling. These are cost effective, simple in construction, occupy less space, are easy to expand and easy to disassemble for maintenance.

Plate type condenser/evaporator are available in model SW24, SW40 A (100 NB port connection), SW54 (150 NB port connection), SW59 (200 NB port connection) and SW189 (300 NB port connection).
