IDMC PHE's have herringbone type plate pattern give maximum turbulence even at low liquid speeds, thereby ensures effective heat transfer. The pattern is available in two designs namely Thermally Long & Thermally Short with chevron angle of 120°C & 60°C respectively. Combining these designs in a plate pack, an optimal plate composition can be selected that complies with demands of both pressure drop & heat transfer.

Iinlet part of the plate pattern is designed with deep steep-edged grooves which give a perfect hold of the gasket & make evenly distribution of liquids across the heating surface resulting in prevention of “dead spots” and maximum utilization of whole plate. The gasket is provided with double sealing arrangement and a drain area which makes inter- mixing of two fluids practically impossible.
