Design of PHE
A Plate Heat Exchanger consists of a frame, which in turn consists of a head, a follower, a column, a carrying bar, a guiding bar and numbers of clamping bolts. In between the head and the follower a varying numbers of pressed plates are clamped together.
Plate
The standard material used is AISI 304, AISI 316, AISI 316L, Titanium, Hastelloy, Monel in thickness of 0.5mm to 0.9mm. It can handle application flow from 100 LPH to 3.5 Million LPH.
Thermal Efficiency
In the development of a tailor made PHE, IDMC has aimed for high thermal efficiency in all heat exchanger applications. This is achieved with help of a Plate program which can fully utilize a specified pressure drop, i.e by using the pressure drop to create turbulence across the whole plate pattern. Efficient heat transfer can be achieved even when the difference between the temperature of the two media is small.
